Fashioned after red and white chert found at the Headlands, we use red clay and bentonite clay to make our Marin Headlands Chert Bar. Combining essential oils of cinnamon and ylang ylang, it is spicy and floral with a color that is reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge. The white part of our soap uses a touch of vetiver, an oil which is said to bridge gaps in emotional healing, and makes this soap even more warm and forgiving. Using 600,000 year old compressed volcanic ash found in San Francisco amid fallen WWII concrete bunkers, our soap renews the bonds forged from the past, with the present.
Reflective of our red and white chert soap of the same name, we use red clay and bentonite clay to make our Marin Headlands Bath Soak. We begin with a base of San Francisco sea salt and muscle-soothing epsom salt. We then combine rose petals, essential oils of ylang ylang and vetiver with a touch of cinnamon. It's spicy and floral with a color that is reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge. Ylang ylang and cinnamon are warming and the floral notes are reputedly an aphrodisiac. Feel like you are on the rocky and vibrant shore of the romantic Headlands, invigorated and ready for everything around that corner.
